1. Technical information
Browsers:
The Card Catalogue Online is compatible with Internet Explorer 5.x+
Firefox1.0+, Mozilla 1.73+, Safari and Opera
Card images are displayed using a Java-Applet based card viewer.

2. What the Card Catalogue Online includes
The Card Catalogue Online includes all material which has not yet been fully catalogued in the Library Catalogue (with the exception of Medical and Continuing Education Branch Libraries)
The Card Catalogue Online does NOT include anything published after 1978. Search the Library Catalogue for this.
4. Finding your item
Your search has
identified an item you want to see:
The classmark for all items in the
Arts
and Social Sciences Library is located in the top right hand corner of the
card image. Use this to find the book on the shelves.
The classmark for
Special Collections (Arts and Social Sciences Library) is located in the top
right hand corner of the card image. To consult any of these items please
enquire in
Special
Collections.
Items at the other
Branch
libraries will have the name of the Branch in the top right hand corner of
the card image. You will need to consult the card catalogue in the relevant
Branch Library to find the location on the shelf. Further information about the
Branch libraries is available.
External Store: to request an item from the External Store, please note the
Store number from the top right hand corner of the card image and enquire at the
Issue Counter.

information or enquire at the Help or Issue Desk.
Please note: if you are making a long journey please contact the relevant
Branch library
in advance to check the
availability of the item.
